Breath, God and Pat-Downs

Someone in my teacher's pod asked for suggestions to reduce anxiety. I wondered if it might be helpful to post something I've learned here.
The two things which work the best for me to calm down are
1. Remembering God got there before me and has already worked everything out before I even thought of it, and
2. Breathing. Anybody who can fog a mirror responds to breathing exercises, like putting your breath in each part of your body, starting with your toes and working gradually to your crown.
But here's another especially useful one that came to mind, especially for us Gaians: This is for when someone's really freaked out and not thinking clearly AND their heart rate's gone up. Rosalyn Bruyere showed it to us in class. She called it "patting down."
Spouses, siblings, close friends and adult offspring are good as healers in this. In a pinch, someone the fast-heart-rate person has decided to trust will do. Sit across from the freakee, cross-legged if possible, face-to-face. Knees touching. Get "grounded." The un-stressed, healer-person does a quick reading on the stressed person's pulse at their wrist.
Then, the healer-person places their left palm on the stressed-out person's right thigh. Palm above their knee, on the muscle. Healer-person then begins to pat the stressed person's left thigh (again above the knee) - matching the heartbeats of the stressed person's pulse.
The healer-type imagines positive energy, of course, pulsing from their right, patting palm. Their left palm catches the pulses, "cleans" them, and loops them back into your friend. Up your left arm, down into your right. Over a period of several minutes - however long it feels is appropriate - gradually reduce the frequency of the patting. Feel what's going on, adjusting whatever you're doing accordingly. The stressed-out person's heart rate lowers, every time.
Note: if, as healer, you tend to push energy from your left hand and receive energy with your right, you gotta switch hands. Also, don't try this the first time in a real emergency; it's best to practice a couple of times before you need it. Of course, this isn't medical advice, just experience in practical situations when somone has blown a 50-amp fuse.
If you've never done it, the results are astonishing the first time. Thereafter, instead just amazing. If you try it, let me know what you see : )

Help

I will have to try that with my son. I have a 14 year old that is mad at the word sometimes, and he get's really angry. I noticed that if we can get him to calm down and talk, he is sensitive to me stroking his har, patting his back, and the tension melts away.
I was blesseed to get a gift certificate for a one hour massage. I had it a few weeks ago by an lady from India. She invited me to her yoga-meditation class which was really cool. Then she hit all the right spots on my back, I belive that massage is relaxing, but it is the art of touch and healing hands that really does the trick. I was so relaxzed, and my mind was so clear for the first time in weeks, it was wonderful. (And you are a guy so I have to add this..I was meaning this in a non sexual way….on the art of touch thing ha!)
Anyways, I will try this next time Nathan has some issues.
Coolness ;) Consider rehearsing it on someone who has just exercised a little.
