Important Note to Intuitives

I live next to a little, seasonal creek with lots of trees, birds and critters. Ubiquitous tree-frog choirs at night. Ducks roost at the swimming pool every Spring. Sweet tree-smells suffuse the air, as I'd always promised my Self I'd live in them. Instead of roosters, I wake to crows. Sometimes, when I'm walking my dog around 10 PM or 11 PM, I see our resident coyote.
One early morning, I was awakened by sounds of rustling paper at 3:30 AM. At first, I thought it was someone staying at my house. When I discovered it was coming from outside my bedroom window, I shined my flashlight in the direction of the sound, and found two racoons rooting in the ivy at the base of huge poplar.
Two of my local, arms-length friends are a pair of red-shouldered hawks. They're gorgeous. I hear 'em a lot. They don't bother our ducks. The man of the tree roosts 40 feet from my bedroom window. The two wing feathers shown, a notched primary and secondary, were moulted from his left wing. They adorn my front door, facing his roost.
Falcons, hawks and owls have been one of my totems since I was 19. So... you know how sometimes in fantasy movies you see things through the eyes of an animal or bird? A "familiar?"
It seems it's true. :)
